The Grievance Tracking System .NET is an entirely web-based
application utilizing ASP, COM, and MS SQL Server as the database back-end.
With GTS.NET there is no need to install multiple copies on different
computers or synchronize data between machines. All data is instantly updated
on the server allowing users to get up-to-the-minute reports and case information.
Having all your grievance data in one place eliminates redundancy. It also allows separate
union offices to coordinate their data through one central location on the web.
GTS.NET has been designed to be customizable
to fit your union's grievance data. Starting
from a basic configuration, all of the fields,
reports, and dynamically generated forms
can be modified.
The database and user interface
can be structured to reflect how your union
already manages it's data, as well as allow
you to add new information to track.
Customization allows unions
to get the most out of their grievnace data.
It also translates into a lower 'learning-curve'
for union officials already dealing with grievance
cases. There's no need to learn a completely
new system for gathering data.
The only piece of software GTS.NET users need is a web browser. The database resides on a server and can be updated directly anywhere you have access to the internet.
As a server, or web-based system GTS.NET
eliminates the twin problems with older systems:
redundancy of data on multiple machines and
the need to synchronize information between
users and the database.
GTS.NET is secure password protected allowing
only authorized users access to the system.
This means you can access grievance cases
at home, on the road, or in the office.
Updating grievance information in GTS.NET is as simple as entering or modifying the data and then pressing the "Update Case" button. The information in the database is instantly updated and immediately available for all users.
Case summaries, statistical reports, and
dynamically generated forms will all immediately
reflect the changes. You can always be sure
you have the latest, up-to-the-minute information
without having to wait until the next synchronization.
GTS.NET tracks your grievance cases on a stage-by-stage basis
- Locals can begin entering information
as soon as a member contacts them.
- Once a case moves to the formal grievance
level forms and email notifications can
be automatically generated and sent out.
- Record the outcomes and information from
national union committees and impartial
arbitration cases.
GTS.NET allows you to keep detailed
case notes on every grievance case. You
can keep track of contact information,
recording dates & times, type of contact,
the person making the contact, and any
comments.
The case notes feature also allows you to
attach files pertaining to the case. Other
users will then be able to download copies
of the attached files and view any comments
made about them.
Adobe PDF forms can be generated in GTS.NET
with information from the system filled in
automatically. Documents which require signatures,
for example, can be generated and printed
out by local representatives or regional directors.
Dynamic forms generation helps eliminate
duplicate paperwork and saves time. It also
ensures the information on the forms conforms
to what is in the database.
A key feature of GTS.NET is the ability to generate real-time reports on any cases in the database. You can, for instance, get a list of all cases for a particular local that are still pending.
The user can limit the report by criteria
such as local, region, and date range. You
can also choose which fields to show (e.g.,
employer, outcome, region, etc.)
The results can be resorted by any field.
Every record is linked to the full case. Counts
and percentages can be listed at the bottom
of the report for easy access.
GTS.NET can also generate statistical summaries based on data updated in real-time. You can find out, for example, what percentage of cases have been resolved at the formal grievance level.
Statistical reports, like case summaries,
can be generated by local, region, or date
range. Acutal counts and percentages can be
reported on nearly every field for each unique
entry.
These reports are invaluable for keeping
on top of cases that are still pending, what
stage they're currently at, and seeing at
a glance how each of the locals and regions
are progressing.
GTS.NET can be secured with multiple
levels of security. Users can be restricted
by area, allowed read-only access, or granted
full administrative priveledges.
Security can be managed at both the individual
user and group levels allowing access and
modification rights to authorized officials
only. Certain areas, for instance the Oral
Stage, can be 'locked' once the case has moved
to the formal grievance level.
There is a browser-based utilitiy for remotely
administering usernames and passwords. Administrators
can have instant access for adding new users
and modifying or removing existing ones.
